Overview

In this assignment, you will describe how the history of policing in America has evolved to meet the needs and demands of the time. You will focus on three eras: colonial, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Exploring the history of policing will allow you to understand the relationship between societal needs and professional practice.
