Why has Deng’s strategy achieved such remarkable “wealth and power” for China?

Write a 4-6- page paper that addresses the following: Why has Deng’s strategy achieved such remarkable “wealth and power” for China? Foreign pundits thought Deng’s free-market reforms would inevitably lead to a more open, democratic political process in China. Why did this not happen? Why does it matter? Could China’s economy expand even further were the government to embrace democracy? Structure of the Paper The structure of your paper should follow this basic outline: Introduction Explain why Deng’s development strategy worked while Mao’s failed. Analyze the notion that Chinese-style economic successes demonstrate that democracy is not necessarily a requirement for economic growth. References Note: At least 2-3 reference sources are required. Your final paper should include reference citations and be written in APA format.
