Child Psychology developmental process of toy stimulation

REQUIRED COURSE TEXT: Lightfoot, C., Cole, M., & Cole, S.R., (2012). The development of children, (7th ed.). New York: Worth Publishers. (ISBN-10: 1-4292-4328-7) T The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with the course content in a meaningful way and to assess your understanding regarding the milestones that a child during infancy (i.e., between birth – 8 months) is experiencing biologically, cognitively, and sensory. Pretend that the following happened to you: After taking PSY 350 (Child Psychology), you seek employment at a toy manufacturing company. The first project that you are given is to design a toy mobile. In order to complete this assignment, you will have to use what you learned in this course and write a short essay (approximately 5 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, 1 in. margins, and typed) that describes how your toy mobile will stimulate an infant’s sensory, biological, and cognitive abilities. Your essay should include an introduction with a thesis statement, body, and conclusion. • For what age(s), will this toy mobile be designed? (Note: The toy mobile needs to be for a child under the age of 8 months.) • Describe your toy mobile with as much detail as possible. • What sensory, biological, and cognitive abilities will your toy mobile take into account? • Within the introduction of your essay, highlight your thesis statement (i.e., one sentence) using the highlighter function on Microsoft Word, or underline your thesis statement.
