The first Unit will focus on the idea of community, especially community-in-the-classroom. For your first essay, you should construct an essay that focuses on answering the questions in bold listed below. Is it important to build a community in your college classes? Why is it important? What does it mean to “build a community” in college classes? In addition to this, your final body paragraph or your concluding paragraph should answer the following questions – How/What can you contribute to your community in Writing 1? What do you wish to gain in return? What can you gain from this community?
