I think all 4 elements were equally challenging. They require tremendous effort in each one of them. In general, I enjoy writing, so the entire process is appealing to me. The challenging thing for me is to make sure I capture all the details on pap.er and not regret leaving essential ideas out. I am not totally prepared for the first draft because I have a lot of things on my mind which are not relevant to schoolwork. I also have to learn to be more specific and precise and not ramble or run off on broad tangents.

  • Prewr.iting is a way of me being honest and open with myself. I get to write openly and plentifully. Prewriting for me is like a Freudian psychologist engaged in free association with his patient. It’s a no holds barred approach to communication.
  • Analysis for my particular topic requires a lot of critical thinking and digging into the past. It also requires me to be fully cognizant of all existing angles on a topic. Being objective and fair-minded can prove to be somewhat difficult as sometimes the emotions pertaining to the situations are too strong.
  • Researching online is a daunting task for me. I’m not a fan of copying other people’s work or paraphrasing what others have written. I like my work to be original and authentic. It’s also hard to narrow down to just a few articles since there are countless writings online. There are also numerous bogus articles online; so it’s important to be selective and find genuinely useful articles.
  • Outlining your pa.per is essentially connecting the dots or piecing everything together in a cohesive way. I haven’t gotten a chance to do all of this yet.
