Jonathan Edward’s writing style

Edwards’s most famous writing was the “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.” His style of writing was used to instill fear in persuasion to his audience that they will be punished by god. Edwards was known for his sermons to be dispassionate, he focused more on affection than reason in his style. Edwards’s sermons such as “A Faithful Narrative of the Surprising Work of God,” and “Justification by Faith” help the upbringing of the first Great Awakening.
