There are 2 parts to the assignment.

In the first part you will complete a matrix (posted Critical Appraisal Tool Template) with an analysis of the research efforts of the authors of the studies you found as relevant to the EBP problem you have chosen to study. (note: if I indicated to you that your articles were not relevant to your PICOT question in the last assignment you will need to search for new articles).

You will need to recall all of the elements of a good research study and critique each component. This will require very careful reading of the articles you have and recall of excellent research practices. This completed template is the only requirement for part A of the assignment.  Because it’s very difficult to type in the small spaces of a table do not worry about APA double spacing/ indenting etc. If you like you may just cite your sources in the top line and type the references below the table.

For Part B you will compose a paper (Please DO conform to APA for this part) with a title page, introduction, purpose and conclusion and reference page. The paper will be short, 1-2 pages of content (not including the title or reference pages). In this paper you will indicate an EBP practice that has emerged following completion of the template. Provide justification based on the research articles. Also cite your outside resources and 2-3 course resources as you did with the last assignment. (I recommend reviewing the rubric prior to submission to make sure you have included all requirements for the assignment.)
