XV.  Conclusion

This section concludes the business case and leaves the decision-maker with a clear understanding of the decision to be made.  It should be a clear and compelling call to action. Take the time to do this correctly. 

Approach to Developing this Section

Read the article from the UMGC Library, in the Week 8 Content area to understand how the conclusion should be written.  Summarize the decision to be made and provide a rationale for moving ahead with the decision in a timely way.

In addition to the Conclusion, the Executive Summary is developed at the end of the business case process.  Both sections summarize the Business Case, but for different purposes and in different ways.  The Executive Summary is described above in that section.  The Conclusion simply provides the summarization and the expresses the decision to be made and why it should be made (and made soon).
